The couples that are “meant to be” are the ones who go through everything that is meant to tear them apart and come out even stronger than they were before.

We are two people who are ready to be parents but are having trouble.

I have PCOS a condition that 1 in 10 women have that affects your hormones, your weight and your ability to have children.

It has been a long journey for my husband and I but the one thing that I am sure about is that I am one lucky woman to find one heck of a man that has never left my side. He has watched me cry been to almost every appointment and knows how to cheer me up after the dreaded “your test was negative” call.

By blogging about our troubles, this will be a way for me to cope with all the stress and disappointment. Hopefully through blogging, I will be able to let off some steam without snapping at those who are only trying to help and possibly help other women by sharing my experience. I also hope to get advice from women who have gone through this process. Sometimes it feels like my husband and I are alone in this but I know that there are others out there who are going through the same situation.

Our relationship…

My husband and I are high school sweethearts and we were also best friends before we took the relationship plunge.

We’ve always known that kids are part of our relationship equation so going through all of this fertility treatment process has been a real test to our marriage.

My husband has always been the supportive type. From when I first met him and known him as my best friend, he’s always been that person. Before we became a couple, he would sit there and listen to me vent about life: school, boys, friends; he’d always be there to listen and offer me advice. That hasn’t changed with marriage either. He’s still there to listen to me (mind you, he has become too much of an opinionated person). I don’t know what I would do without him.

I can remember all the conversations back then about children and family that made me truly believe that he is the one. I knew at the age of 17 that this is the guy that I wanted to marry. He was my ideal man. I know… how could you know at the age of 17? If you meet my husband, you would see how great of a man he is. I’m not saying that he’s perfect (we don’t live in la-la land where everything is perfect… we fight like normal people do!), but he’s definitely the perfect man for me. God always puts people in your life and I’m so glad that He gave me my husband. I actually wrote out a list of qualities that my husband should have, back in the day… I still have it  It was a criteria list that I wrote of all the things “The One” should possess… he passed them all!

If there was one person that has the patience and love to go through this with me, it’s him.
