So a couple weeks ago I mentioned that I was going to watch what I eat. Well, for the next two weeks, I’m going to push it further.
Someone I know recommended her naturopath to me. She also has PCOS and this Dr has helped her a lot. Also, this Dr also happens to specialize in PCOS which is a bonus for me. Last week, I grabbed my file from the fertility clinic and brought everything to her. I didn’t know what a single thing meant in the file which made me feel really stupid since I should have been asking what everything meant.
What was really nice was that she went through everything with me. She explained insulin resistance which was never explained to me before and what I can do to reduce the insulin resistance and hopefully regulate my cycles and help me lose the weight that all PCOS women understand is next to impossible.
Here is what she called the bad part. She gave me a list of everything I can’t eat. Which looks pretty small but when you think of it, it’s actually pretty large. I cannot eat grains or sugar of any type in any food or drink for the next two weeks. That includes fruit! … FRUIT!!!!! Also, I have to hit the gym!
So there you have it folks. That is my diet for the next two weeks along with what makes me feel like Samantha in “Sex and the City 2” worth of vitamins. More on that later!
Day 1 of the diet, I’m feeling ok and not too hungry or sick feeling yet. Let’s see what happens the rest of the week!
